Every year Pagham Church enters a team in the legendary Boxing Day Pagham Pram Race. Usually our novelty entry depicts a Bible story, such as Noah’s Ark or The Garden of Eden, but this year our theme was the fate of the church roof. The pram chassis supported a model of a broken-roofed church and our vicar sat inside it, open to the elements. Parishioners holding umbrellas valiantly pushed church and vicar around the course and the crowds were clearly moved to pity by this sorry scene!

If you would like to help stop the roofless church becoming a reality, check out the fundraising activities we have lined up in 2017 on our Roof Appeal Page.
