We pray for all affected directly by Covid-19; for protection for care home residents and staff from increasing infections, and appropriate arrangements for essential family visitors.

Thanksgiving Julie Green writes: Our most grateful and sincere thanks to our Lord God for answering our urgent prayers after Eric’s sudden stroke (soon after their daughter Gemma’s wedding), and for his swift recovery. We give thanks for God’s amazing timing, which was key to his receiving quick, excellent care and an operation at Southampton. We give thanks to the emergency services and NHS. Last but not least, we give thanks to you all, whose precious prayers were so wonderfully answered. Thank you!

NOTICES

Harvest Festival: see the Revd Lucy’s message in Trudi’s email. On Sunday 27th and in the week following we hope to have a bumper collection of non-perishable, in-date items for the Foodbank.

Help would be appreciated with distributing the Harvest Posies around the Parish on Monday morning. If you are able to assist please meet at church at 9.30 am on Monday 28th.

Church services: as numbers for all church services have to be limited to stay safe, please inform Trudi by 8 pm on Saturday and Wednesday for Sunday and Thursday services respectively. To book your place, contact trudikearsley@hotmail.co.uk or 01243 263597//07703 597353.

Bring your own order of service, by email from Trudi, or your own prayer book. A few printed copies are available in church for those not on email, to be kept by each person for future services.

New: Morning Prayer  From Monday 28th September the church will be open for Morning prayer at 0900, on Mondays and Thursdays. This simple, said service of prayer is prayed by people throughout the world to offer each new day to God and to pray for the situations of the world. All are welcome to join in as and when it suits. We will be using Common Worship Daily Prayer (the red book), if you have a copy please bring it with you, alternatively you can use the app., a small number of books will be available at the church. Mthr Lucy

Face coverings: it is mandatory for all who come into church to wear a face covering, unless they are exempt. Cotton masks are available in church for a donation to church funds. Distancing still applies!

Harvest Festival    –  Sunday 27th September   
Like so many things, our Harvest Festival will look a little different this year but we will still be celebrating and giving thanks for the harvest at Pagham church. On Sunday 27th September and in the week following we hope to have a bumper collection of non-perishable items for the Food Bank. Please bring your in-date offerings along to any of the services that week as we give thanks for all that we are provided with and to help those in need.
Bishop Luffa applications-
We are waiting for the Church Support forms for Year 6 children applying to Bishop Luffa school for September 2021. An announcement will be made once we are able to start processing these. In the meantime please do introduce yourselves to Mthr Lucy so she can start putting names and faces together.
APCM
The much delayed Annual meetings will now take place in church on Wednesday 14th October commencing at 7pm.  Further details and the Report Booklet will be circulated soon.  If you will be attending please could you please let Mo Hatzfeld know, either by email  –   hatzfeld@btinternet.com  or  by phone  01243 268576.

You will see from the information below that more services are now being planned.  It is hoped that our regular Tuesday evening Eucharist will recommence after the Autumn Half Term break.  This will be confirmed nearer the time.
