Eternal Father, whose Son Jesus Christ ascended to the throne of heaven that he might rule over all things as Lord and King: keep the Church in the unity of the Spirit and in the bond of peace, and bring the whole created order to worship at his feet; who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

Intention: Pray for the elderly, lonely and bereaved; for all those in residential care and those who care for them.

NOTICES

Deanery Synod: Is this Thursday 7- 7.30pm at Arundel. It includes a presentation about diocesan finances and is an open meeting.

 

Link to Hope Shoebox Appeal: 81 shoeboxes and 50+ blankets (from Knit and Natter) were transported to the Worthing warehouse this week. I packed all our boxes and blankets into cardboard cartons which were then loaded onto pallets ready for loading into the lorry. Our boxes are on the first lorry which left on Wednesday, one of 8 which will be going to Eastern Europe this year. Thank you to all who contributed to this appeal.

Christmas Market and Craft Fair: Saturday 26th November 11.00am -2.00pm – Village Hall. If you have any further donations for the stalls please leave at Church or contact Trudi – 263597. If you are able to make a cake/cakes we would be very pleased to receive your donations either on the Saturday morning or speak to Trudi for collection. We will be setting up at the Village Hall from 8.30 – please help if you can.

 

Chichester Voices Concert: ‘Nowell, Nowell’ to be held on Saturday 17th December at 7.30 pm. Tickets available from Andrew Naylor priced at £12 or £10 for concessions, on the door or by phoning 07900 098197. All proceeds to Rotary charities.

 

Diocesan Intercessions List: On Friday 9th December 2016 Chichester Cathedral will be praying for St Thomas a Becket at the 8am Holy Communion Service and again at 5.30pm which at the moment is expected to be Sung Evensong.   We are all warmly invited to the Cathedral on this day including complimentary tea and cake in Cloisters Cafe at 4.30 pm.   If you wish to attend please add your name and telephone number to the list on the noticeboard by Sunday 4th December 2016 and meet at 4.30pm in Cloisters Cafe on the day.   Any query or for further information please contact out Parish/Cathedral Link June Baker Tel 01243262344

Parish Pilgrimage 2017: Parish Pilgrimage 2017 to Launde Abbey is going to be Tuesday 30th May – Friday 2nd June 2017. Cost per adult is £200 or more. A provisional booking has been made, so do please speak to Mark ASAP if you would like to be added to the list.
