We welcome all our visitors today on this Remembrance Sunday, particularly representatives from the Parish Council and other local bodies and members of the Uniformed Organisations.

Peggy Rowley – Peggy died in the early hours of All Saints’ Day and her Funeral Eucharist is tomorrow at 12 noon. Do please come if you can and hold her and Trudi and family in your prayers.

Fireworks at the Sefter Road Scout HQ on Saturday 15th November. Gates open at 1800 hrs.  Guy competition, judged by Mark! The winner starts the fireworks!  Raffle, food and hot drinks, cakes and popcorn.

Good News sponsorship – it costs about £50 to produce each edition of the Good News, which we are delighted goes to every household in the parish.  Would you like to sponsor an issue, therefore, in memory of a loved-one or to mark a significant anniversary or anonymously?  Cheques are payable to Pagham PCC c/o Trudi Kearsley, Treasurer.

Charitable Giving Rep? – Would someone be interested in having an oversight of the charities we give to each year, managing their literature, reporting to PCC and so forth? Please see Mark.

Bognor Food Bank – we are now donating items of food to the Bognor Food Bank (and not Stonepillow, whom we support in other ways).  At present, they need tinned meat, tinned fish, rice, spreads, coffee, tinned fruit, sugar, squash, pasta sauces.  Many thanks to Beth Huxley, who has volunteered to be our link person for this.

2014 Link to Hope Shoebox Appeal  This year’s leaflets are now available at the back of the church.  One leaflet to be used either for a Family Box or a box for the Elderly.  Boxes to be returned to church by today. Please pick up a leaflet and fill a box – or if you feel that you can not fill a whole box perhaps you could supply some items or money towards the transport costs.  Every little helps.  Details – Trudi Kearsley 263597

Remembrance Sunday

Collect for the day: Almighty Father, whose will is to restore all things in your beloved Son, the King of all: govern the hearts and minds of those in authority, and bring the families of the nations, divided and torn apart by the ravages of sin, to be subject to his just and gentle rule; who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
