Picnic – Eartham Woods today. It will be straight after the family Pentecost Eucharist. We will travel in convoy from the church car park.  The field is off the main road and there is ample parking. We hope to play rounders or something similar, treasure hunt and general ourdoorsy stuff.  Please bring a picnic. Open Gardens – Sunday 15th June.  1.00 pm – 5.00pm.  15 gardens around the village will be open to visit  –  different sizes and styles.  Tickets and programme available from Church Centre (£5.00).  Plants for sale and Raffle.  Refreshments available at the Vicarage or at Church.

 

Deanery Synod Tuesday 17 June 7 for 7.30pm at Felpham.

This is an open meeting because it will include consultation on the vision for the diocese for the next five years.

 

Cream Tea –  Saturday 21st June.  3.00pm – 5.00pm.  St Thomas a Becket Church.  Tickets – £4.00. Entertainment by Glenwood Ladies Choir.  Please come along and support this event.  We also need some help  –  lists on the noticeboard for volunteers and if you could make some scones, we would be grateful  –  all details on the noticeboard.

 

Curate –  Jo King’s ordination is on Saturday 28 June 4pm at Chichester Cathedral. Please keep her, Mike, Lucy and Amy in your prayers. If anyone is able to help decorate Jo’s house we are going to do so on the weekend of 12-13 July.  Also, please consider contributing towards welcome gifts for Jo and family.  Any monies can be passed on to Mark or the wardens.

 

Youth Songs of Praise – this is now taking place on Sunday 29 June at 3.30pm followed by refreshments.  Do please come along and support our young people.”

 

Patronal Festival Hog Roast – Sunday 6th July, 12pm onwards at the Vicarage, 38 Kings Drive. Adults £5; Children £3. Please bring your own drinks. As ever, friends and family are welcome to join us. See the notice board for further info and to sign up.

 

Summer Fair –  Saturday 19th July.  12 noon –  3 pm.  We need your help to make this a successful event.  We need donations of goods for  the stalls  –  Tombola items, Books, Bric-a-Brac, Fancy Goods, Raffle Prizes, Toys, Games, Puzzles, Bottles, Jigsaws etc.  We also need help to run the stalls  –  lists for volunteers on the noticeboard.
Please collect your envelopes of raffle tickets from the boxes at the rear of Church.

Craft Fair – Carol Druce would like to thank all those who worked so hard to make the Craft Fair a success. Approximately £800 was raised.
