O God, forasmuch as without you we are not able to please you; mercifully grant that your Holy Spirit may in all things direct and rule our hearts; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

Intention: Pray for the press, radio and televisions and for all who influence public opinion. For Christian publishing and broadcasting.

Youth Songs of Praise: Sunday 18th October 2015 at 3.30pm – our theme this time is “The Heavens Above”. The event will involve Junior Choir and other young performers – if your child would like to be involved and you haven’t already spoken to Elise Eminson or Ann Gristwood please do so.

 

Quiz Night: ‘Friends of Pagham Parish Church’ are organising a Quiz Night on Saturday 24th October 2015 at the Church Centre, starting at 6.30 pm. Tickets priced at £10.00, to include Fish and Chips supper. Please add your name to the list on the notice board if you wish to attend. Details: Richard Druce 821254.

 

Chichester Cathedral –Family Activities Monday 26 October 2015 from 10am – 3pm. It’s incredible just how many amazing animals of every shape and size lurk in the Cathedral.   See how many you can track down with the aid of a colourful trail before collecting a prize on completion from the shop.   Find the Cathedral’s hidden mini mice and meet some of their animal friends.   Design and make your very own “character” mini creature in collage or clay.   The cost is £2 per child.

Grave Talk – This is a new Church of England initiative to help people talk about death, dying and funerals and so we are going to put it on in church on Saturday 7th November with a view to offering it to the wider parish next year.

Parish Book Group: Our current book is “Call the Midwife” by Jennifer Worth. See the Book Group notice board for further information and sign-up sheets. Join a discussion group on Tuesday 10th November at 8pm or Thursday 12th November at 10am.
