All creatures great and small, some forty or so, packed into St Thomas à Becket’s on Saturday 4th October for the annual service of Pet Blessing. One Ragdoll cat found haven in a traveling cage, as did a handful of chickens, in a special cage, all safely kept away from the many breeds of dogs waiting to be blessed.

The service was conducted by the Rev Mark Eminson assisted by the Pastoral Care Team led by Trudi Kearsley. This popular forty minute event was followed by tea and light refreshments in the church’s refectory and amazingly all the dogs behaved themselves!
