On a cold Sunday afternoon in February over 30 children snuggled up in St Andrew’s Chapel to watch Despicable Me 3 on the big screen. Popcorn and treats were of course obligatory! Then later on in the month, the family fun continued with our Bingo and Beetle Drive in the Church Centre, where folk across the age range enjoyed these two time honoured games. As well as prizes for “House!” and “Beetle!” two prizes were awarded for the most artistic beetles. The adult prize went to Victoria Hardy for her Fab Four themed work and the child’s prize went to Sophie Steen for her exotic beetle collection. Money raised at this exciting, noisy and highly competitive event went towards the Raise the Roof campaign.
