We remember Pagham Church family who live in residential care or usually receive communion at home: Jane Upton.

We pray for those to be baptised, among them Daisy Mae Courcier who is to be baptised today, and for her parents and godparents.

We pray for those celebrating anniversaries at this time among them Sue and David Smith celebrating their Golden Wedding anniversary this week.

We pray for peace especially for and with the people of Ukraine. We pray for all those caught up in conflict, and for those seeking safety and refuge on these shores.

NOTICES

Admission to Holy Communion Mthr Lucy is running a course for children in Year 6 and above who wish to be admitted to Holy Communion. Sessions will continue on Saturday mornings, 10:00–10:45 at Pagham church, on 1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd October. The children are admitted to Holy Communion on All Saints’ Sunday on 30th October at the 09:30 service. Please contact Mthr Lucy for more details and to sign up. Parents are needed to help with these sessions, so if you can, please do sign up to help.

Confirmation We are hosting this on Tuesday 15th November with Bishop Ruth. If you are in school Year 9 and above (including adults) and would like to know more about Confirmation, please speak to Mthr Lucy. There will be an adult Confirmation course running on Thursday mornings at 11:00 in church, continuing on 29th September, 20th October (NB change of Oct dates), and 3rd & 10th November. AND Monday evenings from 17th October at 19:30, location TBC, continuing on Mondays 24th, 31st October and 7th & 14th November.

Details of a youth Confirmation class are to follow – let Mthr Lucy know if you are interested.

Harvest Festival flowers We will be decorating the church in readiness for Harvest Festival on Saturday 1st October from 09:00. Donations of produce and greenery would be welcome. If you would like to sponsor an arrangement in memory of a loved one or to celebrate an event, or contribute towards the costs of the flowers, please contact Trudi Kearsley 263597/07703 597353.

Harvest Lunch on Sunday 2nd October from 12 noon, at the Parish Church Centre, Nyetimber Lane. Suggested minimum donation of £5, to be paid on the day, for a traditional Ploughman’s lunch with cheese. Please sign up on the list at the back of church, or contact Trudi, by 28th Sept.

Great is Thy Faithfulness As you will know from information shared in Pews News at the start of the year and from information posted around the church, a small group from the parish have been involved in this pilot programme run by the diocese. Bishop Ruth will join us for the Parish Eucharist on Sunday 9th October to share more about this with us. Do pop the date in your diary!

Pagham Village Hall Trustees Would you like to help manage and look after our splendid Village Hall for the benefit and enjoyment of local residents? Pagham Village Hall Trust has vacancies for trustees with relevant skills and local knowledge, who meet about six evenings a year.
