Third Sunday of Advent
Collect for the day: – O Lord Jesus Christ, who at your first coming sent your messenger to prepare your way before you: grant that the ministers and stewards of your mysteries may likewise so prepare and make ready your way by turning the hearts of the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, that at your second coming to judge the world we may be found an acceptable people in your sight; for you are alive and reign with the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.Amen.

Post-Communion Prayer at the Advent Wreath: Lord Jesus, light of the world, John told the people to prepare, for you were very near. As Christmas grows closer day by day, help us to be ready to welcome you now. Amen.

NOTICES
The Eminsons: Are moving back into the vicarage this week, so Mark is off duty. Do call Jo or a warden about an urgent matter. There will be an opportunity to admire the renewed vicarage on the afternoon of 22 January, so make a note in your diaries.
Christmas Communions: If you are going to be unable to get to church over Christmas or know someone in that position do get in touch with Mark or Jo and we can arrange communion at home for you.
Volunteers Required: We are hosting a Stay and Play Christmas morning on Wednesday 21st December and we need volunteers to help with activities and serve refreshments. Please speak to Jo or sign up to volunteer.
Chichester Voices Concert: ‘Nowell, Nowell’ to be held on Saturday 17th December at 7.30 pm. Tickets available from Andrew Naylor priced at £12 or £10 for concessions, on the door or by phoning 07900 098197. All proceeds to Rotary charities.
Parish Book Group: Our current book is ‘The Shed That Fed A Million Children’ by Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow. Join a discussion group on Monday 9th January at 8pm, or Thursday 12th January at 10am. See the Book Group notice board for further information and sign-up sheets.
Pilgrim Course January 2017: We will be examining the section of the Pilgrim Course which explores The Creeds. The six-week Course will commence on 10th January at 10:00am in St Andrew’s Chapel – No previous experience of Pilgrim required! If you would like to join in, please speak to either Mark, Jo or Roland. Otherwise, please add your name and telephone number to the ‘Pilgrim’ list on the noticeboard in the South Aisle by Sunday 1st January 2017.
