NOTICES

Face Coverings In light of the Omicrom variant of Covid 19 now present in the UK, and around the world masks are now mandatory in shops and on public transport. You are asked to wear your face covering at all times when attending services/ events in the church, please, unless medically exempt. Mthr Lucy and the Wardens will continue to review our Covid-19 practices regularly, so please be aware of notices on the pew sheet and in church.

Transept seating These side areas are kept for those who wish to maintain social distancing. Please remember that there are ‘red crosses’ available for you to place on the seats beside you, if you wish to give a sign to others that you want to keep good social distance.

Advent preparation Mthr Lucy invites you to read the classic ‘The coming of God’ by Maria Boulding this Advent. ‘Rich with an Advent theme, this work explores the different ways in which God comes to us. Its central message is that God comes to the needy and empty. Whether our poverty is material or spiritual, the book aims to bring hope and promise.’ There will be an opportunity to reflect on this reading with tea and conversation on Thursday 16th at 14:30. We meet in the Committee Room of the Mosse Hall at St Richard’s church, Gossamer Lane. Plenty of parking available.

Mulled Wine and Christmas Rhyme Following the very successful ‘Hymns and Pimm’s’ event in September, St Richard’s will be hosting a Christmas edition: ‘Mulled Wine and Christmas Rhyme’ on Sunday 12th at 16:00, at St Richard’s, Gossamer Lane, Aldwick. Join us for a good carol sing, warming refreshments and a time of good cheer! Tickets £5 to include your first drink, available from Barbara (01243 266193).

Christmas Services Do take the leaflets about our Christmas services to pass on to neighbours and friends.

Sunday School Please note there will be no Sunday School during December. The next session will be Sunday 16th January. See the Christmas services flyer for details on the Christingle and Crib services.

Church bells We are still raising money for their maintenance: if you would like to make a donation, or dedicate ringing in memory or celebration of a loved one, Mike Wake can provide you with information on how to do this (contact below). Thank you to those who have contributed so far – we are not far off reaching the final total, even with the additional works!

Friends of Pagham Church annual fundraising quiz is now available for £2 from Mo Hatzfeld (268576) or Trudi Kearsley (263597) for a prize of £100.
