Parish Family Eucharist today We look forward to welcoming Bishop Ruth of Horsham, when she will preach and preside at the Parish Family Eucharist. This will be her first visit since her arrival in the diocese – it will be a great joy to have her with us for this service.
Children’s Scratch Choir In preparation for the Parish Family Eucharist, Jenny will be running a final rehearsal for children and adults who would like to sing in the Scratch Choir at 09:00.
Hymns & Pimm’s at 17:00 today (Sunday) at St Richard’s, Gossamer Lane, Aldwick. Come and sing favourite hymns and encounter friends old and new at our neighbouring church! Tickets £5 (children free) at the door. More information from Barbara Cotton, 266193.
Licensing Mthr Lucy will be licensed as Priest-in-Charge of St Thomas à Becket and Priest-in-Charge of St Richard, Aldwick by Bishop Ruth in a joint service on Monday 6th September at 19:30, at Pagham church. Please do come along and pray for the parishes and Mthr Lucy, and celebrate this important day in the life of the community.
Tuesday@7 After much delay, I am pleased to announce that the Tuesday evening communion service will return, on 7th September at 19:00. With blessing of school backpacks at the start of the new school year- do bring yours along! This is a service that I hope will be particularly attractive to families and is offered for those who find Sunday morning services a little difficult to get to. Length 30-40 mins. Everyone is very welcome.
World Day of Prayer 2021 The service, delayed from its usual timing of the first Friday in March, takes place on Friday 10th at 10:30, at The Salvation Army, Canada Grove, Bognor Regis, PO21 1QL. It was written by Christian women in Vanuatu, and has been adapted by the local World Day of Prayer committee. All are welcome to attend this service, and stay for refreshments afterwards.
Thanksgiving Service for Pauline Lucas, Saturday 11th at 12 noon, at St John the Baptist Church, Kirdford. There will be a video on YouTube to watch afterwards, for those who cannot go.
Harvest We will give thanks for and celebrate the harvest on Sunday 19th September 09:30 with a Parish Family Eucharist. If you would like to sponsor the flowers for this Sunday, please speak to Trudi (see above). The dried food collection taken this year will be given to the Bognor Regis Foodbank.
