On Sunday 8th June some of our families gathered at Eartham Woods for a Sunday School Picnic. To supplement our own food, we were treated to a barbecue and then toasted marshmallows over a campfire. Sunday School leader Jenny Ellis – who knows the terrain very well as it is her family’s land – had prepared a hunt for the children which took them into the woodland. They were asked to find stones, feathers and other “treasures” and bring them back to base. We has such a fantastic time that at the end of the picnic, murmurings could be heard about returning for an overnight camp.
