On the feast of Christ the King, eight of our younger church members received their first holy communion.  It was lovely to see them so involved and engaged throughout the service, not least in leading the prayers and in asking adult church members about their experience of baptism, communion and confirmation (as well as the challenging question put by one of them, “would you rather be God or Jesus?”)  All of us were challenged by the gospel about the sheep and the goats and encouraged to see Jesus not only in His Body and Blood, but in the hungry, thirsty, homeless, naked, sick and imprisoned.  God bless them and all of us!
