A small group of our church flower team were invited to represent the church in the recent Flower Festival held at Apuldram Church 20 – 22 September. The theme of the Festival was ‘All the World’s a Stage’. We were asked to take on Geoffrey Chaucer’s “Canterbury Tales” picking up on the link to St Thomas à Becket. Sue Smith designed the exhibit which incorporated elements illustrating some of the characters from the tales, and their pilgrimage to St Thomas à Becket’s tomb in Canterbury. The work to create the display was carried out by Sue Smith, Carole Druce and Trudi Kearsley with technical support from David Smith
