Booking is essential and will help us to arrange seating. Please note that as we are limited to ~60 members of the congregation on a Sunday morning, a waiting list will be in operation. Parish Family Eucharist We are pleased to announce the return of a Parish Family Eucharist. On every first Sunday of the month you will find some subtle differences to the 09:30 service – it is hoped that this will make the Parish Eucharist particularly appealing to the whole family, and engaging for all ages. However, I hope that all families know that they are welcome at every service at Pagham Church – we are all beloved children of God, and there is a lot that we can learn from worshipping together. The Parish Family Eucharist will start on Sunday 6th June – please do spread the word to your neighbours, and local family and friends. Mthr Lucy.

Ring bells, ring! Bell ringing is now back! However, the bells are in need of some urgent works. Please see the flyer sent out last week to find out what needs doing and how you can support this work. Do you have a wedding anniversary coming up? A family wedding you haven’t been able to attend? Or a significant birthday or other occasion this year? Why not consider dedicating the Sunday bell ringing in celebration and thanksgiving of this! More details available from Mike Wake, Tower Captain: 07899 705632.

Scratch choir Over the past few weeks I hope you will have enjoyed the organ music played by Freddy – who we are very pleased to welcome to Pagham. Freddy would like to welcome 6 singers (as permitted under current guidelines) each Sunday to form a scratch choir. This choir will sing simple anthems/hymns during communion. Those who enjoy singing and who would like to join in should contact Mthr Lucy – this will be done on a first-come-first-served basis, rotating week by week if need be. The first scratch choir will sing on Trinity Sunday (30th May). We hope it won’t be too long before we return to congregational singing.

Church linens Mthr Lucy is looking for a volunteer to help with ironing the linen used in church – mostly the small linens used during the Eucharist. This is a task best completed fortnightly. Instructions and guidance will be given. If you can help with this, please speak to Mthr Lucy.

Church cleaning We need your help in order to keep the church clean and tidy for the benefit of worshippers and visitors alike. This would entail just one hour per month, working with a team. If you are interested, please contact Sue Miller: 07845 926766, sue.armex@btinternet.com.

Book Group We are restarting the Book Group and will have our first session when we are allowed to meet indoors, so probably early July. The book we shall be discussing at that meeting is A Change of Climate by Hilary Mantel. We welcome back our old members and look forward to greeting any new members. (You don’t have to commit to reading all of the books, but can dip in and out.) If you have any questions please contact Linda Tempest: lindatempest@hotmail.com, 07443 905893.
