Collect Almighty God, to whose glory we celebrate the dedication of this house of prayer: we praise you for the many blessings you have given to those who worship you here: and we pray that all who seek you in this place may find you, and, being filled with the Holy Spirit, may become a living temple acceptable to you; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.  Amen.

Covid restrictions It is currently not necessary to book in for services.

Transept seating These side areas are for those who wish to maintain social distancing. Collect a red cross card on your way in to church to place on chairs next to you, to keep these seats free.

Admission to Holy Communion before Confirmation A course of preparation for this is under way; the next sessions will run on 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th November, 10:00–10:45. Children will be admitted to Holy Communion for the first time, having completed this preparation, on Advent Sunday, 28th November. If you have a child/children in school year 6 or above who are interested in this (NB they are required to be baptised), please contact Mthr Lucy.

Bishop Luffa An email has gone out about school applications, so please check your inbox, or contact Mthr Lucy. Appointments (in church) are available between 26th Oct & 17th November.

Sunday School To begin with, this will run once a month, on the third Sunday, and be open to  primary school years. More info from Linda Tempest: lindatempest@hotmail.com, 07443 905893.

Tea & Chat The next Tea & Chat will take place on Wednesday 3rd November, 14:00–16:00 in the Pagham Parish Church centre (NB new timing). Carole Druce would be pleased to receive offers of help, including cake – she can be contacted on 07732 768890.

Early Christmas Market and Craft Fair, Saturday 13th November 11.00–14.00 at the Village hall. Donations (in good condition please) are needed for all the stalls: raffle prizes, chocolates, tombola items, unwanted gifts, puzzles, soft toys, jewellery, knitted goods, toys, bottles of wine and spirit, Christmas decorations. NB: no bric-a-brac. Please hold on to books for donation until nearer the day. Leave other donations at the back of church, or contact Trudi to arrange collection. Please sign up on the noticeboard if you are able to help, or speak to Trudi; contact as above.

Mystery tree planting A Horse Chestnut tree has been planted, without permission, in the churchyard near where an established tree fell a while ago. We do not intend on replacing this tree; this is to save future generations of Pagham Church from the difficulties we have faced on this issue. If you know anything about this tree planting, please speak to Mthr Lucy. If no one comes forward, the tree will be removed and planted in a suitable location outside the churchyard.

Bognor Regis Foodbank is looking for more volunteers, and also three people, supportive of the Foodbank vision and with professional skills for the governance of our organisation, for the positions of Treasurer, Secretary, and Property & Facilities Lead. Pagham Beach update Pagham Flood Defence Trust’s planning application has been successful! Work to cut through the Church Norton spit will start next Friday 29th, and last 7-10 days. This will help protect Pagham residents from the risks of flooding and erosion on the west side of the beach.
