Thy Kingdom Come The time between Ascension Day and Pentecost (13th–23rd May) is a time of hopeful waiting and prayer that we might all be renewed by the Holy Spirit. We are invited to pray for ourselves, those we are supported by on our journey of discipleship, and those who are yet to come to know the love offered them in Jesus Christ. Prayer resources are available in church to help us in the 10 days of Thy Kingdom Come. Do pick up a copy for use at home.

Parish Family Eucharist We are pleased to announce the return of a Parish Family Eucharist. On every first Sunday of the month you will find some subtle differences to the 09:30 service – it is hoped that this will make the Parish Eucharist particularly appealing to the whole family, and engaging for all ages. However, I hope that all families know that they are welcome at every service at Pagham Church – we are all beloved children of God, and there is a lot that we can learn from worshipping together. The Parish Family Eucharist will start on Sunday 6th June – please do spread the word to your neighbours, and local family and friends. Mthr Lucy.

Requests in Pews News and the Prayer Chain Praying for those in special need is a joy and a privilege for the Church. Those named in the list above, or in Prayer Chain messages, need to consent individually to this. Please note that the Pews News Prayer List and the Prayer Chain operate independently of each other i.e. inclusion on one does not mean inclusion on the other. It is important to keep all details of prayer requests confidential outside Prayer Chain boundaries.

Beating the Bounds If you were able to walk part of our parish boundary last week, do send any photos and experiences to Alison Blenkinsop for a ‘Beating the Bounds 2021’ report: contact below.

Ring bells, ring! From Monday 17th May bell ringing will be back up and running. However, the bells are in need of some urgent works. Please see the flyer sent out this week to find out what needs doing and how you can support this work. Do you have a wedding anniversary coming up? A family wedding you haven’t been able to attend? Or a significant birthday or other occasion this year? Why not consider sponsoring the Sunday bell ringing in celebration and thanksgiving of this! More details available from Mike Wake, Tower Captain: 07899 705632.

Church cleaning We need your help in order to keep the church clean and tidy for the benefit of worshippers and visitors alike. This would entail just one hour per month, working with a team. If you are interested, please contact Sue Miller: 07845 926766, sue.armex@btinternet.com

Book Group We are restarting the book group and will have our first session when we are allowed to meet indoors, so probably early July. The book we shall be discussing at that meeting is A Change of Climate by Hilary Mantel. We welcome back our old members and look forward to greeting any new members. (You don’t have to commit to reading all of the books, but can dip in and out.) If you have any questions please contact Linda Tempest: lindatempest@hotmail.com, 07443 905893.
