Collect for the day:

Lord of all power and might, the author and giver of all good things: graft in our hearts the love of your name, increase in us true religion, nourish us with all goodness, and of your great mercy keep us in the same; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

Friday 4th August – Jean-Baptiste Vianney

Intention: Pray for all imprisoned in any way; and for the prisoners, staff, chaplains and visitors at HMP Ford.

Intention: Pray for our children and young people, and their leaders; for our Children’s Groups, Wednesday Club and Youth Group.

Dennis Witcomb: we were sorry to hear of Dennis’ death last Sunday, but after some time of illness he died peacefully; may he rest in peace and rise in glory. We hold Shirley and all the family in our prayers. Funeral details will follow.
