NOTICES

+Anthea Potter: We were sorry to hear of Anthea’s death on Friday 20th and hold her in our prayers as we do Robin and the family. Anthea has been a most loyal servant of this church and courageous in her illness. Her funeral will be on Thursday 9th February at 12.15pm in church.

House blessings: Thank you, Jo, for blessing the Eminsons’ loft extension. If anyone would ever like a house blessing for some occasion do speak to Mark or Jo.

Deanery Synod: Tuesday 7th February 7 for 7.30pm at Felpham. This is an open meeting with a very good speaker from the Bible Society, so well worth attending in this Year of the Bible.

Exploring the Heritage of Pagham Church and Village: This next event in our Raise the Roof Appeal is on Sunday 26th February 3.00-6.00pm. Entry is by donation and refreshments are available for sale all afternoon with talks at 4.00pm and 5.00pm. If you have any Pagham memorabilia or ideas speak to Stephen Cox-Rusbridge or Mark.

Music rehearsal: Sunday 12th February at 3.30pm all are invited to attend a session when we will practise some new hymns and music. Do bring your own ideas too and there should be a cuppa available to refresh our voices

Domestic Abuse: Our new team is now up and running with posters around the parish and a contact telephone number and e-mail address. They are domesticabuse@paghamchurch.org and 07759 855719. Thank you to Linda Hill and team for their work on our behalf.

Parish Book Group: Our current book is ‘The Girl In The Red Coat’ by Kate Hamer. Join a discussion group on Monday 27th February at 8pm, or Thursday 2nd March at 10am. See the Book Group notice board for further information and sign-up sheets.

Freewill Offering Envelopes: Envelopes are in the pigeon holes in Church. These are in a different format this year and come in small boxes and not booklets as in previous years.

Ladies Club: Tuesday 7th February 7.45 pm at Church Centre. Jo King will be hosting GRAVE TALK, a CofE discussion about facing death and mortality. Sometimes we just can’t push away the subject of death any longer. We find ourselves facing our own mortality, whether through our own situation or that of someone close to us. Come and talk about these big questions. ALL WELCOME.
