Collect O God, the protector of all who trust in you, without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy: increase and multiply upon us your mercy; that with you as our ruler and guide we may so pass through things temporal that we lose not our hold on things eternal; grant this, heavenly Father, for our Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.    Amen.

We remember Church family who live in residential care or usually receive communion at home: Bett Steenerson, Jane Upton.

We pray for all who are preparing for ordination at this time among them for Gemma Fleury (née Green), who was sponsored by this parish for training, to serve in the Diocese of Leeds.

We pray for all who are preparing for confirmation at this time including Ben and Selina Chapman and Irene Kilk from this church.

We pray for Ben, Eva and Noah Chapman who are to be baptised today, and their parents and godparents.

Gemma Fleury (Née Green) writes: “My ordination to the diaconate will be on Saturday 3rd July at 3pm at Ripon cathedral. I am going to be serving in the parish of South Elmsall and North Elmsall, and Jonathan (her husband, also to be ordained deacon) is in the benefice of All Saints South Kirkby. Parish Family Eucharist Remember next Sunday at 09:30 is the Parish Family Eucharist. An all age, inter-generational celebration of the eucharist suitable for the whole church family.
