Collect Lord, you have taught us that all our doings without love are nothing worth: send your Holy Spirit and pour into our hearts that most excellent gift of love, the true bond of peace and of all virtues, without which whoever lives is counted dead before you. Grant this for your only Son Jesus Christ’s sake, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.   Amen.

We remember Pagham Church family who live in residential care or usually receive communion at home: Jane Upton.

We pray for those preparing for baptism; among them for Ella Sophia to be baptised this weekend, for her parents and Godparents.

We pray for peace especially for and with the people of Ukraine. We pray for all those caught up in conflict, and for those seeking safety and refuge on these shores.

Arundel and Bognor Regis Deanery Synod met on Thursday 23rd June at St Mary the Virgin Parish Church, Clymping. An update of business is noted on the noticeboard near the main door of the church.

Pagham Church Patronal Festival, Sunday 3rd July On the Feast of St Thomas we will celebrate our Patron Saint, St Thomas à Becket, who was named after the apostle. On this day we will have a special Parish Family Eucharist, with a new hymn written for the occasion, followed by Parish Breakfast. Please sign up if you intend to stay for breakfast (bacon/egg rolls) so we have an idea of numbers. The more the merrier!

Tuesday@7 BBQ– All our young families and friends are invited to an end of term BBQ on Tuesday 12th July at 17:30- Eucharist at 19:00. Help is needed please with cooking etc. and if you’re able to bring along a salad of some sort that would be welcomed. Please bring your own chairs and cutlery. Sign up list available at the back of church. Suggested minimum donation £3.

Summer Fair, Saturday 16th July, 12:00–15:00 at the Village Hall. Please help us to make this a success. We would be grateful for donations for all the stalls: Tombola, Bottles, Jewellery, Jigsaws, Toys, Games, Clean Paperback Books, Toiletries, Raffle Prizes, unwanted gifts and Fancy Goods. Nearer the day we will need cakes and sweets. Please leave donations at the back of the church or contact Trudi for collection (263597). Add your name to the sheet on the noticeboard if you can help run a stall, assist with marshalling, or lend gazebos on the day. PLEASE ALSO COLLECT YOUR NAMED ENVELOPE FROM THE BACK OF CHURCH.

Churches Together in Bognor Regis & District A meeting will be held on Thursday 21st July, 19:00 for 19:30 (refreshments available from 19:00) at South Bersted Church Hall, Bersted Street, Bognor Regis, PO22 9QE. The purpose is to discuss the future of the organisation. More information from Revd Tim Crook, 01243 862018, timothycrook@hotmail.com. All Church members welcome.

Do you have a day a month free to help support the Community Team who care for our churchyard? We are seeking to assemble a team of able volunteers who could be on site one Wednesday a month, to offer practical support to the team of workers who care for the churchyard.
