Almighty Father, whose Son was revealed in majesty before he suffered death upon the cross: give us grace to perceive his glory, that we may be strengthened to suffer with him and be changed into his likeness, from glory to glory; who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

 

Amen.

Intention: Pray for the Pilgrim Course – Leaders and participants. Pray for those baptised and confirmed here during the year, for their parents, godparents or sponsors; fFor our own godchildren.

Intention: Pray for all imprisoned in any way; and for the prisoners, staff, chaplains and visitors at HMP Ford.

TODAY: Exploring the Heritage of Pagham Church and Village: This next event in our Raise the Roof Appeal. Entry is by donation and refreshments are available for sale all afternoon with talks at 4.00pm and 5.00pm. If you have any Pagham memorabilia or ideas speak to Stephen Cox-Rusbridge or Mark.

 

Sinners Lenten Creative Quiet Morning: Saturday 4th March 9.30am -12pm St Thomas à Becket Church. All welcome. Start lent with a period of quiet reflection. During the morning we will come together to pray and reflect upon Lent, then spend time apart for prayerful reflection in stillness, in creating, in reading or walking. We will finish with Holy Communion together.

 

10K anyone? A team from the congregation (including our very our curate and vicar’s wife) are running the Bognor Prom 10K to raise money for the Raising the Roof campaign. The event is on Sunday 21st May 2017. If you are interested, please speak to Graham Jones or email grahaminsunnybognor@gmail.com’.

 

Shrove Tuesday/Ash Wednesday: 28th February 3-5pm at the Vicarage all are welcome to come for a pancake and glass of something (or few) and donations to the work of the Church Urban Fund (no Eucharist that evening); then 1st March is the beginning of Lent with services and ashing at 10am, 4pm and 8pm – all encouraged to attend one of these.

Confirmation: If any adults might be interested in exploring this next step in their faith do please speak to Mark or Jo as there is a confirmation service in June. A separate teenage group is also going to be prepared.

Quiz Night for Church Roof: St Ninian’s are very kindly hosting a quiz night for our Roof Appeal on Saturday 4th March 6 for 6.30pm. Tickets are £6 and include a Ploughman’s Supper and are available from Bernie and Mandy Taylor on 262414.
