Almighty God, whose Son revealed in signs and miracles the wonder of your saving presence: renew your people with your heavenly grace, and in all our weakness sustain us by your mighty power; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

Don Maltby: We are sorry to hear of Don’s death and pray for him as we pray also for Eva and the family in their grief. Funeral details will follow.

 

Paddy Chesterton: We are sorry to hear of Paddy’s death. He and Esther alternated between here and North Mundham and some will remember their wedding here. Paddy’s funeral is at St Stephen’s North Mundham on Monday 1st February at 11am. We pray for Paddy and for Esther and all who mourn his passing.

 

Lent Groups: Do sign up on the board if you wish to attend, our priority will be the Year of Mercy course either at North Bersted or in-house.

 

Freewill offering booklets: For the coming year are now available for collection from the pigeon holes in Church.

 

Cathedral Flower Festival: A big thank you from the flower team to all those who so generously supported their coffee morning, to help them raise funds for the Cathedral Flower Festival in June.

 

Food bank: Thank you for continued donations for the food bank, please remember that only non-perishable food can be accepted, with at least three months before the expiry date.

 

Grave Talk: After a very successful pilot event we are holding another one on Tuesday 2nd February at 7.45pm in St Andrew’s Chapel. Do try this out or indeed come again and feel free to sign up on the noticeboard to say you are coming.

 

Aaron Frith: Aaron is a singer/song writer who has produced a new EP reflecting on the beauty of God in the brokenness of our lives. He is coming to Pagham on Sunday 7th February at 7pm in St Andrew’s Chapel to do a jazz cafe style gig in our very own chapel. Sign up on the board or on Facebook as space is limited to about 25.

 

Shrove Tuesday Celebration: 9th February, 3-5pm at the Vicarage. Join us for delicious pancakes and the burning of palm crosses. Adults £1, children 50p. No need to bring anything – all will be provided!

 

Parish Book Group: Our current book is “The Autobiography of Martin Luther King, Jr.” edited by Clayborne Carson. See the Book Group notice board for further information and sign-up sheets. Join a discussion group on Monday 14th March at 8pm or Thursday 17th March at 10am.

 

Confirmation: There is a Confirmation at the Cathedral on 19th June. If you are interested in being part of a group exploring and working towards this please speak to Mark or Jo. We will begin to meet during Lent.
