Our ‘Roadmap’: the PCC have spent time reviewing the Government’s Roadmap out of Lockdown and guidance from the Church of England to help us look towards a return to private prayer and public worship. As such our ‘Roadmap’ will look as follows, but we will of course continue to monitor the local statistics and make adjustments as necessary.

29th March – the church will re-open for private prayer (Monday–Sunday, 10:00–16:00).

25th April – return to public worship; please note the same restrictions as before Lockdown will be in place. Booking will be necessary and will begin from Monday 19th April.

Holy Week and Easter: I am sorry to say that our Holy Week and Easter services will all be online this year (a comprehensive programme will be published next week). In addition to this the church will be open for private prayer, for those who wish to visit for some quiet reflection. On Easter Day Mthr Lucy will be at the church to give Holy Communion to those who wish to make their communion on Easter Day – this will be 1:1 with individuals/ bubbles coming in 10–min slots – timings to be announced next week.

Archdeaconry Confirmation: on 8th July the Bishop of Lewes will confirm candidates from the Archdeaconry of Chichester, at St Mary’s Littlehampton. If you are a young person in school year 9 or above, or an adult and are interested in being prepared for confirmation, please make contact with Mthr Lucy. Details on Admission to Holy Communion before Confirmation will follow after Easter, for those in Year 6 and above who are seeking this.

Churchwardens: two people have indicated that they would be willing to stand for election as churchwarden this year, if no one else comes forward. I ask you all to continue giving some prayerful thought to this subject as we seek to elect two new wardens for Pagham Church.
