Almighty God, you have made us for yourself, and our hearts are restless till they find their rest in you: pour your love into our hearts and draw us to yourself, and so bring us at last to your heavenly city where we shall see you face to face; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

Amen.

Sea Sunday: On 2nd October we are keeping Sea Sunday at the 9.45 am Parish Eucharist. If you know someone with any nautical connection please do invite them along.

 

Luncheon Club: Please vote for Pagham Luncheon Club through GrassRoots Giving at Skipton Building Society via this website: www.skiptongrg.co.uk. There is a chance for Luncheon Club to win £500.

 

Roof Appeal Launch – On Thursday 29th September at 7.30pm we officially launch our appeal to local businesses and community groups. Do keep the event and the whole appeal in your prayers and church members are welcome to attend, especially to give a warm welcome to visitors.

 

Church Diaries 2017: These are now available at the back of church. There is no charge, though you are welcome to make a donation.

 

Parish Book Group: Our current book is ’The Kite Runner’ by Khaled Hosseini. Join a discussion group on Monday 14th November at 8pm, or Thursday 17th November at 10am. See the Book Group notice board for further information and sign-up sheets.

 

Harvest Festival Flowers: We will be decorating the church in readiness for the Harvest Festival on Saturday 24th September from 9.30 am. Donations of greenery, together with produce, would be very much appreciated. If you would like to donate towards the cost of the flowers, in memory of a loved one or to celebrate an event please speak to Trudi. Harvest Supper: Saturday 24th September, 6.30pm at the Church Centre. Join us for hearty home cooked food and homespun entertainment. Please bring your own alcohol. Adults £7.50, children £4, all proceeds to the Diocesan Harvest Appeal. See noticeboard for further info and to sign up. Money is due to Trudi or Elise today please.

 

Food Bank: Don’t forget to keep bringing in food for those in need, the summer holidays creates added pressure on budgets as children are not fed at school and need entertainment too.

 

2016 Link to Hope Shoebox Appeal: This year’s leaflets are available at the back of church – boxes for family of elderly. Filled boxes need to be returned to church by Sunday 6th November. If you feel that you are unable to fill a whole box, but would like to help, perhaps you could supply some of the items or money towards the transport costs.
