NOTICES

 

Audrey Bridge: our prayers go out for Audrey at her passing, she (with husband Michael before his death) was a member here for many years. Audrey’s funeral is in church on Monday 25 September at 11.00am. May she rest in peace.

 

Choral Evensong with scratch choir: CHANGE OF DATE all are welcome on Sunday 24th September at 3.30pm to come for an informal rehearsal for Choral Evensong followed by refreshments and then all to sing the service together at 5pm: “O Lord, open thou our lips!”

 

Harvest Festival Flowers: We will be decorating the church in readiness for Harvest Festival on Saturday 30th September from 9.30 am. Donations of greenery, together with produce, would be very much appreciated. If you would like to donate towards the cost of the flowers, in memory of a loved one or to celebrate an event please speak to Trudi. Raise the Roof: continuous thanks to so many for generous contributions; including money held by the Friends, we have about £108,000. We continue to apply for grants and are thinking of other fundraising opportunities. Do speak to a PCC member if you have any ideas.

 

 

Church Deep Clean: CHANGE OF DATE Saturday 7th October starting at 9.00am we are having our annual deep clean of all the ledges, crevices and corners that our regular weekly church cleaners are not able to do. Although we have a selection of vacuums, dusters and brushes it might be helpful you could bring your own particularly those with long handles.

 

2017 Link to Hope Shoebox Appeal: This year’s leaflets are available at the back of church – boxes for family or elderly. Filled boxes need to be returned to church by Sunday 5th November. If you feel that you are unable to fill a whole box, but would like to help, perhaps you could supply some of the items or money towards the transport costs. Cook Book: Copies are available at the back of the church priced at £5.00 per copy. Thanks to all who contributed. All proceeds to ‘Raise the Roof Fund’.

 

Harvest Supper Saturday: 30th September, 6.30pm at the Church Centre. Join us for delicious food and homespun entertainment. Please bring your own alcohol. Adults £7.50, children £4, all proceeds to the Diocesan Harvest Appeal. See noticeboard for further info and to sign up. Money to Trudi or Elise by Sunday 24th September.
