Almighty and everlasting God, increase in us your gift of faith that, forsaking what lies behind and reaching out to that which is before, we may run the way of your commandments and win the crown of everlasting joy; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

Thank you: to all who responded to the request for socks for the rough sleepers in Bognor, we have had an amazing response and have plenty to give out during the winter months. Once again thank you for your generosity – Sue and Alex on behalf of Arun Angels.

 

Concert: Chichester Voices’ will be performing a further concert at St George’s, Whyke featuring some of the great works of George Frideric Handel on the 4th November. If you would like to go please speak to Andrew Naylor who is thinking about organising transport as parking is very limited. All proceeds to St Wilfred’s Hospice.

 

Church Path: Bruce Evans has for many years ensured the church path has been cleared of fallen autumn leaves to prevent it becoming slippery in wet weather and maintained the flower pots around the church during the summer months. He understandably now feels the time has come for others to take this on. If anyone is willing to join a rota for path sweeping on Saturday mornings please let me know, and if looking after the pots is your forte please speak to Bruce. – Mike Wake 07899705632.

 

2017 Link to Hope Shoebox Appeal: This year’s leaflets are available at the back of church – boxes for family or elderly. Filled boxes need to be returned to church by Sunday 5th November. If you feel that you are unable to fill a whole box, but would like to help, perhaps you could supply some of the items or money towards the transport costs. For further details contact Trudi – 263597/07703 597353.

 

New homes in Pagham: the Parish Council have asked if anyone would like to submit a letter in favour of their proposal for smaller and more affordable plots of housing via a Community Land Trust scheme. Letters can go to the Village Hall.

 

Bishop Luffa School: parents of Year 6 children applying for Bishop Luffa next year need to arrange to meet with Mark to fill out the Church Support Form.
