NOTICES
Ordination: Thank you again to all who helped with Jo’s ordination. Do take a copy from the back of the church of that service and indeed her first Eucharist. We are giving Jo a red stole (and have given liturgical books), which is still being made; and on the note of vocation, remember every Samuel needs an Eli (see Bishop Mark’s letter on the noticeboard).
Summer Fair: 12 noon – 3pm, 18th July – Village Hall. We are seeking donations for the various stalls. We need items for the Tombola, Bottles, Jewellery, Jigsaws, Toys, Games, Clean Paperback Books, Toiletries, Raffle Prizes, Fancy Goods and Bric-a-brac (no electrical items please – we cannot sell them) and of course nearer the day we will be seeking Cakes. Lists will be going up soon asking for volunteers to help in various ways, and we shall also be asking if anyone can loan a gazebo or two. Boxes for your donations will be found at the rear of the church or you can speak to me and I will arrange collection. If you are on the electoral roll there is an envelope at the back of the church for you to collect. Thank you – Trudi Kearsley 263597.
Men’s Group: Date of the next meeting has been set for Saturday 4 July 8pm at Pagham Yacht Club.
Patronal Festival Hog Roast: Sunday 5th July, 12pm onwards at the vicarage. Adults £5; Children £3. Please bring your own drinks. See the notice board for further info and to sign up.
Children’s Society: This year’s box count came to £321.70, better than the last few years. However there are fewer box holders now and we need some new ones. Since the late 80’s £8000 has been raised as well as Christingle gifts. Please see Barbara Crew at church or contact her on 01243 264071 if you would like a box.
Christian Aid: This year’s fundraising total is £811.33. Thank you to all who donated and helped raise funds.

14th June 2015
First Sunday after Trinity
Collect for the day:
Lord, you have taught us that all our doings without love are nothing worth: send your Holy Spirit and pour into our hearts that most excellent gift of love, the true bond of peace and of all virtues, without which whoever lives is counted dead before you. Grant this for your only Son Jesus Christ’s sake, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
Amen.
