NOTICES

Art Exhibition: A very successful event held over the bank holiday weekend, raising £1327 for church funds, selling 52 paintings, and attracting lots of visitors to the church. Thank you to all who helped in any way – Sandy Sell and the lunch team, the refreshment team, stewards, Mike Wake and the team for setting up, and to all who visited. A big thanks too, to all the local artists who pay us to display their work, allowing us to benefit from their hard work.

David Nash: David has moved to a residential home: Longfield Manor, West Street, Billingshurst, RH14 9LX tel (01403) 786832. We wish him and Barbara well and pray God some of us can make the trip to see them.

Beating the Bounds: Do remember that this happens next week when we will stride out from church asking God’s blessing on the parish, stopping for lunch at Copyhold Farm Lagness (the Cox-Rusbridges’) and for tea at 103 West Front Road (the Kings’). Do join in with whatever you can.

Pagham Flood Defence Trust: AGM is tomorrow, the 9th May, 7pm at the Yacht Club – all welcome.

Church Librarian: Wanted someone to look after the church books shelves, keep the books tidy, organise a few book reviews and possibly even set up a lending scheme. As everything has been moved because of the repainting it seems like a good time to get the books organised. If you are interested please speak to Jo.

Good News: We are seeking deliverers for the following rounds – Manor Park, West Front Road and Lagoon Road. If anyone is able to assist please contact Trudi 263597 or Mo 268576.

Children’s Society boxes: Are due to be opened in May. Please bring them to church or Ladies Club or ask Barbara Crew to collect (264071).

Chelsea Pensioners: Will be visiting Priory Park to play Chichester Bowls Club for a match on Wednesday 11th May from 1pm this an ideal chance to come along and see them in their red coats and talk to them

Parish Book Group: Our current book is “God before Breakfast – Thoughts for the Day” by Angela Tilby. See the Book Group notice board for further information and sign-up sheets. Join a discussion group on Monday 16th May at 8pm or Thursday 19th May at 10am.

Door of Mercy: Our parish’s visit to the Door of Mercy is on Saturday 28th May at 11.15am. It would be great if as many of us as possible can go to the cathedral for this, so do please sign up on the sheet to indicate your intention to attend.
