NOTICES

Face coverings We ask that you continue to wear face coverings at all times when attending services/events in the church including when singing, to help us continue to offer an environment that is welcoming to the most vulnerable in our community. Mthr Lucy and the Wardens will continue to review our COVID-19 practices regularly.

Lent, Holy Week and Easter Please see the additional sheet for details on our offering for Lent and beyond.

Bell ringing How about learning to ring for HM The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee? There will be 4 days of national celebrations from 2nd June when we are encouraged to ring the bells to mark this historic event. Bell ringers do not have to be big, strong, musical or mathematical. Anyone from the age of 10 with reasonable coordination and a sense of rhythm can learn to ring. If you would like to know more, please speak to Mike Wake 07899 705632.

‘Great is Thy Faithfulness’ Growing the Household of Faith pilot programme There is now a display sharing more information about GiTF in the church. This will be updated at regular intervals.

Good Friday Children’s Workshop This year we will be holding a children’s fun activity morning on Good Friday 10:30-12noon, this event will be held at and shared with St Richard’s, Aldwick. I hope this will be an exciting invitation to offer to all local families. A small team of volunteers are coming together- but if you would like to join us, please speak to Mthr Lucy.

Over the coming weeks we will be putting out calls for items that will be needed for our crafts at this event: This week (and for the weeks to come) please will you collect empty glass jars (all shapes and sizes gratefully received!) and bring them to church, collection can be arranged if bringing them to church is a problem! Many thanks.

Foundation Governors for Nyewood Infant and Junior Schools Both of our Church of England schools are urgently seeking foundation governors at this time. The support of local parish churches in this essential role is critical to the mission of the Church in the wider community, with Foundation Governors being critical to helping foster a distinctive Christian identity in the schools. If you have any interest in learning more about this, please speak to Mthr Lucy, who is now an Ex-Officio Governor of both schools, for more information.

Music at Pagham church We are currently reviewing the way forward for music in our worship – but please remember all those who enjoy singing are most welcome to join the choir. The choir is currently practising for 20 mins before services (apart from Family services, on the first Sunday of the month) – so for Sundays this is from 9 am, at the organ.
