Prevent us, O Lord, in all our doings, with thy most gracious favour, and further us with thy continual help; that in all our works begun, continued, and ended in thee, we may glorify thy holy Name, and finally by thy mercy obtain everlasting life; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

 

Psalm response: The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our stronghold.

Welcome to everyone as we keep Sea Sunday. Among our intentions are the ongoing beach and the work of Mission to Seafarers, to whom you can make a donation today.

Pet Blessing is next Sunday at 3.30pm followed by refreshments: all creatures great and small are most welcome!

David Nash – David’s funeral is to take place here on Monday 10th October at 2.30pm. Do try and attend to pray for David and his widow Barbara and son Mike and all who mourn his passing.

Stonepillow Sponsored Sleepout – this is on Saturday 15th October and various Eminsons, Perrins and Munns are taking part. Do sponsor us and so support the excellent work of Stonepillow (form on noticeboard).

Bishop Luffa applications for September 2017 – any parent who wishes to apply for their child to attend Bishop Luffa School next year needs to make an appointment with mark please.

Church Diaries 2017: These are now available at the back of church. There is no charge, though you are welcome to make a donation.

 

Parish Pilgrimage 2017: We are proposing to go to Launde Abbey in Leicestershire for a few nights at the end of May next year. Do sign up on the sheet on the noticeboard if you might be interested. It should be a blessed time of prayer, worship, food and drink, friendship and days out.

 

2016 Link to Hope Shoebox Appeal: This year’s leaflets are available at the back of church – boxes for family of elderly. Filled boxes need to be returned to church by Sunday 6th November. If you feel that you are unable to fill a whole box, but would like to help, perhaps you could supply some of the items or money towards the transport costs.
