First Sunday after Trinity

Collect for the day O God, the strength of all those who put their trust in you, mercifully accept our prayers and, because through the weakness of our mortal nature we can do no good thing without you, grant us the help of your grace, that in the keeping of your commandments we may please you both in will and deed; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Psalm response: Where, Lord, can I flee from your presence?

Post communion prayer for the Year of Prayer

Go before us, O Lord, in all our doings with your most gracious favour, and further us with your continual help, that in all our works begun, continued and ended in you, we may glorify your holy Name, and finally by your mercy obtain everlasting life; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Safeguarding As the Church of England continues to raise awareness of the importance of safeguarding, we recognise that everyone associated with the Church who comes into contact with children, young people and adults, has a role to play. A new online training module, C0, is recommended for anyone who needs a basic awareness of safeguarding. This may include, but is not limited to, vergers, adult servers, bell ringers, welcomers, sidespersons, choir members, refreshment helpers and PCC. This course is a prerequisite for attendance at C1 and C2 training. C0 training is available at safeguarding@chichester.anglican.org. Any queries (or to produce your online certificate!) please contact Jan (862606).

Bognor Food Bank is asking for the following items: tinned fish, especially tuna; tinned fruit; rice pudding; coffee, in small quantities; biscuits; chocolate; crisps; shampoo; shower gel. Please place items in the box near the church door. Many thanks.
