Most merciful God, who by the death and resurrection of your Son Jesus Christ delivered and saved the world: grant that by faith in him who suffered on the cross we may triumph in the power of his victory; through Jesus Christ your Son our lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

Amen.

Intention: Pray for our hospitals, doctors, district nurses, home care assistants, pharmacists, therapists, opticians, dentists; all who provide health care.

 

Monday 3rd April

Intention: Pray for the Pilgrim Course – Leaders and participants. Pray for those baptised and confirmed here during the year, for their parents, godparents or sponsors; for our own godchildren.

 

Tuesday 4th April

Intention: Pray for all imprisoned in any way; and for the prisoners, staff, chaplains and visitors at HMP Ford.

Intention: Pray for our schools, colleges and universities; for all teachers and learners, governors and administrators.

Intention: Pray for the hungry, homeless, refugees and asylum seekers; for the work of The Church Army, Christian Aid and all relief agencies.

Holy Week sign-up sheets: please add your names to the various ministries and to indicate attendance at services with catering over Holy Week and Easter.

 

Annual meetings – these take place on Thursday 20th April 7.30pm in church. All are encouraged to attend if they can and hear about the range of church life, as well as electing churchwardens and church officers. There are 5 vacancies each for PCC and Deanery Synod (which also means sitting on PCC) – do consider standing (forms on the board near the church door).

 

Flowers: We are hoping to fill the church with flowers again for Easter. If you would like to sponsor an arrangement, or contribute to the costs of the flowers, please speak to Trudi Kearsley – 263597. We will be decorating the Church on Easter Eve – Saturday 15th April from 9.30 am. We would be very grateful for donations of greenery, which should be brought down early Saturday morning.

 

Fundraising Auction for Raise the Roof: this event is on Friday 28th April at 7.00pm. If you have an item or promise to be one of the lots please speak to Mark and get a form. And start spreading the word with friends and neighbours to come on the night as we already have some excellent lots!

 

Christian Aid Count Your Blessings During Lent: Please help us in supporting Christian Aid once again during Lent, there will be Super Soup lunch at the vicarage on Thursday 6th April 12 – 2pm, please add your name to the list on the noticeboard.

 

Easter Pilgrimage 2017: Wimbourne Minster is the venue for the Easter Pilgrimage on Saturday April 22nd If you wish to join the group, please sign the ‘Wimbourne Minster’ sheet which is on the white notice board situated in the South Aisle; closing date for bookings 2nd April.

 

Good News: Our monthly newsletter ‘Good News’ is an important part of our outreach.
