During the ten days between Ascension Day and Pentecost the worldwide church was encouraged to keep a special focus on prayer that God’s kingdom would come. Here at Pagham church we joined in too.

Around the church we had various prayer stations to encourage people to pray for the world, themselves and their friends and neighbours. We also wrote pledges describing how we might be the answer to our own prayers for our neighbourhood.

As well as praying in the church we took our prayer stations on the road and set up for the day in Rose Green Junior School. We took over their library and invited all the children in years 3, 4 and 5 to explore our different prayer stations. The prayer stations were focused around the Lord’s Prayer and explored giving our worries to God, adding leaves to our thankfulness tree and praying for God to help us make the world a better place. We ended by saying the Lord’s Prayer together; a copy of which the children where then able to take home with them.
