On Sunday 21st May over a dozen members of Pagham Church ran the Bognor Prom 10K Road Race to raise money for our Raise the Roof campaign. With runners aged from 16 to sixties, the strength of our team lay in the diversity of ages which took part and was a true reflection of our congregation. As the runners made their way up the promenade they were cheered on by some of our church members who turned out to support them on what was a particularly hot morning. All the runners were delighted to finish the race and collected their medals with pride. Particular congratulations must go to 16-year-old Alice Cox-Rusbridge who completed the course in 42:44 minutes and won the Ladies 1st Winning Team for Chichester Runners. We haven’t totted up our sponsorship total yet, but several hundred pounds will surely be added to the Raise the Roof fund as the result of our runners’ exertions!
